THE STORY OF TABITHA HUME

I am Tabitha Hume, a fully qualified and Registered Clinical Dietician, with over 25 years’ experience in the private sector of dietetics practice.

I have devoted my life and passion to teaching people how to eat, in order to manage and cure their physical problems.

I do this for people of all ages, genders, sizes and cultures, who are

  • physically sick,
  • constantly tired,
  • in pain,
  • an unhealthy weight,
  • frightened and confused about nutrition and who are desperate to find a sensible lifestyle solution, that they find easy to fit into their unique lives.

I help people to feel healthier, calmer and free of pain or disease. I show people HOW to feel energised, empowered, and enthusiastic about eating well.

I will show you how a healthy and slimming lifestyle approach can become really easy and exciting.

Before long, you will abandon reliance on willpower for your success, and finally give yourself ‘permission’ to feel rewarded by delicious meals.

what we do

Why Choose Me

There is a very big difference between a nutritionist and a dietician. Know who to choose for your needs.

Nutritionist

Nutritionists are allowed to provide information about food and healthy eating. No degree or diploma is required to call oneself a nutritionist

Dietician

Dieticians are the only qualified diet professionals who can work both with healthy and with ill people. They can evaluate, diagnose and treat medical conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). A minimum qualification of an HONOURs degree in Clinical Dietetics is required to be registered as a dietician.

What is Insulin Resistance?

Watch my easy-to-understand video to make it less complicated.

A resistance to the hormone insulin, resulting in increasing blood sugar. The hormone insulin helps control the amount of sugar (glucose) in the blood. With insulin resistance, the body's cells don't respond normally to insulin. Glucose can't enter the cells as easily, so it builds up in the blood. This can eventually lead to type 2 diabetes. Insulin resistance typically has no symptoms. Weight loss and exercise can help reverse insulin resistance.
